This 8 Days Gorillas wildlife will include several destinations in western Uganda. Among them are Lake Mburo national park, one of the smallest national parks known for other 13 small lakes within the park, it also has the largest concentration of zebras, antelope species, giraffes among other mammal species.
Bwindi forest national park hosts over 400 mountain gorillas, it is thus divided into four tracking with several habituated gorilla families at different tracking sectors, besides gorillas, the moist forest is home to mammal species, birds, plant species, flowering plants.
Also, to Queen Elizabeth national park which is known for its diverse nature, wildlife including big cats such as lions and leopards, hyenas, antelopes, elephants, cape buffalos, impalas, Elands, Uganda kobs water bucks, primates and also over 600 bird species. And lastly to Kibale forest national park the primate capital of Africa, known for its 13 primate species, notable ones are chimpanzees.
Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Gorillas wildlife
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
On this day you will meet up with your driver guide at the hotel after breakfast and drive through Kampala to lake Mburo national park, stopover at the equator for photography and experiments. You can also stop over at Mpambire local drums to see how local men make drums. When you reach the park have lunch and proceed for an afternoon boat cruise. Expect to see buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, 8 Days Gorillas wildlife, and waterbird species including the rare African finfoot. Return to the lodge with an evening game drive through the park with a chance to see a dazzle of Zebras, Giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, impalas, elands and so much more.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
wake up so early for an early morning cup of coffee, drive through the park exiting back to the road and drive to south western Uganda. The drive is more scenic through farms, green plantation and rolling terraced green gardens up to Bwindi National Park. You will reach in the evening and check in at the lodge, relax preparing for yet another thrilling experience the following day.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking & Community walk
Have early breakfast at 6:30 am and transfer to the park headquarters with packed lunch where you will be briefed about your expectations, dos and don’ts and by 8:00 am you will be led in the forest in the company of the park rangers. Remember to carry your packed lunch, and have enough drinking as well you may consider to have a walking stick or hire a potter in case you have a slight heavy back pack. While trekking, be vigilant to spot other forest habitants such as forest elephants, birds. Trekking may take long than expected from 2-6 hours depending on how far the gorillas have moved and the moment you find them utilize the hour one given to take photographs. Return to the lodge after, refresh and in the evening, you will visit the Batwa. The Batwa live in the community outside the park, they are the first forest people who lived in the forest before eviction and gorilla tourism began. You will learn about their lifestyle, through exhibitions, storytelling and traditional dances.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth via the Ishasha sector
Have breakfast at leisure after transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park through Ishasha southern sector of the park. Ishasha sector is known for the adaptive behavior of the lions climbing up into the trees. Besides the tree climbing lions the sector has wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks and many others. When you arrive have lunch at the lodge and go for a late afternoon game drive where you will be able to see most of the mammal species and several birds. Have dinner and an Overnight.

Day 5: Game drive & launch cruise
Wake up to a refreshing cup of coffee at 6 am and go for early morning game drive to the open savannah kasenyi track in the Northern sector of the park. Kasenyi is known for large concentration of big cats, lions, leopards, antelopes, elands, impalas, Defassa, bush buck. With luck you will be able to spot all of them, return to the lodge for late breakfast, refresh and have lunch and later to afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel where two lakes meet.
Kazinga channel has a large concentration of crocodiles, hippos, elephants at the bank of the lake. It is also an inhabitant of various bird such as pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, African fish eagle among others. Basically, cruising on the Kazinga is one of the most eye-catching activities in the park. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 6: Morning game and crater lake drive & transfer to Kibale Forest national park
Have a delish morning breakfast and later head out for a morning game drive and crater lake drive. Queen Elizabeth national park has a quite number of enormous crater lakes with an eye-catching view good for photography. Have lunch at the lodge and exit the park to Kibale forest national park which is home to Chimpanzees, it is a 3–4-hour scenic drive seeing Rwenzori Mountain ranges and Tea plantation. You will reach the park in the evening check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi wetland walk
You will have morning breakfast and go to the park quarters for briefing, remember to carry enough drinking water and packed lunch. After briefing, embark on trekking through the forest at around 8:00am in the company of park rangers. Along you will be able to spot other primates such as grey checked Mangabeys, L’hoest monkeys, bush babies, among others; you will also spot a number of birds. After trekking, 8 Days Gorillas wildlife, return and have lunch at the lodge and go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland in the afternoon. You will meet different people that stay there also will see different birds like the Great Blue Turaco and more primates like the bush pigs, otters, baboons among others.

Day 8: Return to Kampala
After a heavy breakfast leave the park and drive back to Kampala via Mubende, where you will be in line to see beautiful scenic views found in this area. You will have enroute lunch in Mubende and thereafter continue to Kampala reaching in Kampala in the evening. Drop off at the Hotel or airport for departure. End of 8 Days Gorillas wildlife.
