3 Days Rwanda Wildlife Safari
This 3 Days Rwanda Wildlife Safari is the ultimate experience in the one and only savannah park in Rwanda. Akagera national park is most thought after for its big game mammals such as buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, lions, and Rhinos. Other mammal species include Topis, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, elands, and schools of hippos and crocodiles seen on Lake Ihema as well as various waterbird species.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Akagera national park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked by your driver-guide at the hotel and transferred to Akagera national park, about 3-5 hours drive. You will have a stopover at Nyakarambi for Rwandan art paintings. Reach your accommodation early afternoon. After having lunch, you will do afternoon boat cruise at lake ihema to see school of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and elephants at the bank of the lake as well as water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and viewing
Wake up at 06:00am have a cup of coffee and after head out in the bush for sunrise game drive. With a ranger you expect to see animals such as leopards, hyena, and lion as you go thorough different tracks in the park. You also look out for Rhinos, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Topi, Zebras, Impala. The Park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birders haven with over 500 species such as African fish eagle, African harrier hawk, African jacana Bateleur, Squacco heron. The game drive will last about 6 hours or more depending on your interests. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
On this very day, you will wake up to a cup of tea and then drive through one more time in the park and transfer back to Kigali city for a city tour to Rwanda’s historical sites such as the museums, genocide memorial sites, craft markets to buy souvenirs.
