3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour
This 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla tour is a highlight mainly for volcanoes national park. This Park is a gem for it is home to the endangered species, mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, perfectly sharing a home under the 8 volcanoes found with in volcanoes national park.
Gorilla trekking is the main activity for this 3 -day tour and will be complemented along with Golden monkey tracking, Kigali city tour, and a memorable cultural experience with iby’iwachu cultural village.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali airport and transfer to volcanoes national park
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide. Depending on the time of arrival you have an optional Kigali city tour, visiting some of the major and historical sites in the country such as the genocide memorial sites, presidential memorial, Kandt museum, craft markets among others. Later in the afternoon transfer to volcanoes national park, home to 10 habituated gorilla families as well as an inhabitant of golden monkeys and volcanic mountains. The drive duration is about 2 hours. Check-in your accommodation and relax for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking experience and Iby’iwachu Cultural Tour
Your day shall start early morning with a refreshing cup of coffee and after drive to the park headquarters as you must attend gorilla briefing at 07:30am at Kinigi visitor center. In the mean time you will be entertained with traditional dances and a hot cup of coffee on the house. The ranger guides will then lead your way as you trek in the forest park to search for the gentle. When gorillas are found, you spend 1 hour taking photos as many as you can and observe their behavioral characters in their natural setting. Trek back to Kinigi and back to your lodge for hot lunch. In the late afternoon, you will have a cultural experience featuring traditional dance performances at iby’iwachu cultural village. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Golden monkey tracking and departure
After a relaxed breakfast, embark on another exciting experience in volcanoes national park, to see the thrilling endangered golden monkeys. Important Tips for Gorilla tracking Experience
- One must have tested negative for Covid-19 before accessing the park
- Good sturdy hiking boots
- Carry Packed lunch and enough drinking water
- Garden gloves to avoid stinging nestles

- Keep your gadgets in silence as well remove flash lights for the cameras
- Smoking and eating in presence of the gorillas is prohibited
